Position Overview:

The Banquet Server is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to our guests. The server will provide our guests with hospitality providing prompt, efficient service of food and beverages in accordance with hotel policies and banquet event order standards.
Please Note: This is a Casual Position. Banquet Servers will work on an as-needed basis, according to business requirements.

Education and Experience:

• MUST possess a valid Alberta Pro Serve certification.
• 1-2 years-experience in a server capacity working in a fast-paced, high volume foodservice environment preferred.
• Previous banquet food service experience would be an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work and thrive in a team-oriented environment, and be able to function independently.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Must be available for shift-work.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to repetitively carry foodservice trays weighing up to 25lbs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as well as attention to detail.
