Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Business Partner will provide generalist support and collaborates closely with assigned Department Managers in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, AGLC licensing, employee relations, benefits, disability management, training & development, performance management and terminations.
• Manages and facilitates the recruitment cycle and onboarding process, including HR orientation.
• Assist Human Resources Manager and department managers with employee relations and individual development plans.
• Assist managers with the identification and coordination of external training needs
• Process Canada-Alberta Job Grant applications.
• Assist supervisors/managers with return-to-work accommodation or modified duties
• Coordinate in-house and external training.
• Enroll employees in eligible benefits in accordance with benefits policy
• Maintain employee benefits records in the HRIS and ensure all benefit information is current and accurate.
• Responsible for submitting WCB forms and managing disability files.
• Other related duties as requested
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum three years of human resources or administration experience.
• Experience working in a highly confidential environment
• Experience working on a First Nation community is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong computer proficiency (ie..Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
